Overview
We produced a website to enhance the online image of the school and provide up-to-date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
Hessle High School
The Hessle Academy is made up of 2 schools on 3 sites providing education from the age of 3 to 19.
Brief
The Hessle Academy asked us to redesign and develop a new website which would enhance the online image of the school and provide up-to-date information for parents, pupils and the wider community as their existing website was outdated.
What we did
The design of the new website was kept clean, fresh and heavily featured imagery taken of the school and pupils involved in day-to-day activities. In order to navigate the site easily and quickly the content was split into manageable sections covering the Federation, Penshurst Primary, Hessle High, Hessle Sixth Form and Parent information. All areas of the website, including imagery, are managed via a content management system which sits behind the website and allows staff to easily add, edit and delete content as and when required therefore keeping the content fresh and up-to-date. Successfully launched in November 2012, in the first month the website received over 10,000 visits.
